Since one of my interest is traditional culture, I have the thought of create a series of illustration about tradition. So, I combined elements of traditional culture, but in a more modern illustration style. The story main character is a young schoolboy who immigrated to other countries with his parents when he was very young. So he know nothing about the traditional culture of his own country. One night a crane appeared at his window and bring him back to his country. I want to show that the crane is helping him founding his original culture and his born place. But at last the boy woke up in his bed. So is the crane and all of this happening real or is it just a dream? I set up a suspense. To accentuate this setting, I create a hazy sense of dream in the illustration. And I want to express the feeling that no matter where I am, home is always the warmest and most memorable place can have a rest.
